Darlene Hincks Joehnck was appointed to the Regina Public Library Board in January 2004, and is currently the Board Chair. She is a Business Development Manager with the Provincial Department of Industry and Resources. Darlene has owned retail stores and her own consulting company and worked at the Saskatchewan Centennial 2005 Office as the Director of Business Initiatives. Darlene is currently serving as a Director on the South Saskatchewan Community Foundation.

Darlene was elected to Regina City Council from 1985 to 2003. During her term, she served as a Director on the Wascana Centre Authority, Regina Economic Development Authority, Regina General Hospital Board, Tourism Regina, Agribition, Regina Exhibition Board, Saskatchewan Centre of the Arts and Regina's Downtown. Darlene also served on the National Capital Commission in Ottawa for 9 years, The Canadian Advisory Council on the Status of Women, The Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan and was President of the Canadian Capital Cities Organization.
