Board Members
Elaine Kivisto was elected Deputy Chair of the Regina Public Library Board in 2004. She is currently serving her second two-year term on the Board. She served on the board of Treemendous Saskatchewan, the Crown Life Art Acquisition Committee and as Corporate Secretary for the SaskPower Board of Directors and the Souris Basin Development Authority. In May 2006, Elaine was elected President of the Saskatchewan Library Trustees Association and is the provincial representative to the Canadian Library Trustees Association.
As a proponent of life long learning, she received her Certificate of Administration from the University of Regina and a Certificate in the Certified Employee Benefits Program as a mature student. In her spare time Elaine has volunteered for organizations such as the Red Cross and the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Elaine was born and raised in Saskatchewan. She and her husband Don have two sons. Elaine enjoys reading, exercising and football but, most importantly, she loves spending time with her family and friends.
