Telling the Library's Story

The Library Board believes everyone in the city needs to be made more aware of the services available to all Regina residents. Even though the RPL is widely used by many in the city, the opportunity exists to make even greater utilization of the services and programs that RPL offers.

Through a variety of methods, the Board plans to let everyone know of the RPL's services and programs.

Creating a Welcoming Environment

The RPL Board is committed to making Central Library and all Branches more friendly and welcoming to patrons. As part of this initiative, the Board also plans to make the RPL a better working environment for staff members. Input will be gathered from patrons and staff on ways in which improvements can be made.

Meeting Community Needs

As Regina changes, RPL must consider how it must change to meet the needs of the community. The Board understands the importance of providing library services that meet the needs of the whole community.

Consideration will be given to the diversity of the people and the interests that now make Regina the community it is. Special attention will be given to the interests and needs of Regina's aboriginal community.
