Lady Blue by Helen Rosburg
Summary: Written with humor as well as suspense, this love story depicts a young woman in captivity who yearns for her duplicitous lover. After the death of her affluent parents, Harmony Simmons loses everything—including her freedom. Forced to move to England and live with her domineering and jealous older sister Agatha, Harmony’s existence becomes restricted to the prim atmosphere of an English parlor, a stifling environment compared to the expansive American West of her former, privileged life. With her spirit crushed by her confinement, she meets Anthony Allen—a rogue who immediately falls for Harmony. He falsifies his inheritance and introduces himself as the suave aristocrat Lord Farmington. As they begin their romance, Harmony slowly recognizes the ruse behind his persona and starts to question whether her mysterious lover is a cavalier bandit or an honorable hero. Yet, his secret does nothing but ignite her passion for him as she strives to uncover his past.
Garden of the Moon by Elizabeth Sinclair

Fed up with being offered on the marriage market to less-than-desirable suitors, Sara couldn't be happier to move to the old plantation house for which she has always had a special, if inexplicable, affinity. Not until she arrives at Harrogate does she realize that the house holds more than her freedom; it also holds her destiny with a ghost who loved her in another lifetime and is determined to win her back. But all is not benevolent peace at Harrogate. Another ghost resides there who is just as determined to keep the lovers apart, even if it means killing Sara.

Still he is as dazzled by her as everyone else is, and he can keep his feelings hidden from her for only so long. When she rejects him he is deeply wounded and, worse, humiliated before his clan. At first Angus refuses, but her beauty -- and her tears -- so haunt him that he puts aside his pride and decides to aid the heiress. However, when Angus tries to intervene, he's accused of kidnapping and theft. To avoid being prosecuted, he's forced to leave behind all that he knows and loves and escape with Edilean to America. There they will overcome almost insurmountable obstacles as they are pursued endlessly by the man who claims the gold for his own. Despite all that tries to keep them apart, Angus and Edilean also find a love as wild and free as the land itself.
May's Comment: OMG! I can't wait to read this book. Jude Devereaux is one of my all time favorite romance writers. I admit that I am not a huge of a fan of her contemporary stuff. There is nothing wrong with it. I just happen to love her historical romances better. I just hope it won't disappoint.
