Eloisa James's The Desperate Duchesses Series follows a group of friends as they try to find luck in marriage and love. One of the interesting things about the series is the way that the timeline intersects. For instance, Duchess by Night, When the Duke Returns and This Duchess of Mine (books 4, 5 and 6) all take place at roughly the same time, and events happening in one story are mentioned in the others.
