Review: Her Baby's Bodyguard

Her Baby's Bodyguard by Ingrid Weaver

May's Review: Easy premise. Beautiful and intelligent Russian scientist decides to defect to the US but first needs to escape from secret fortress with the aid of Eagle Squadron, an elite military squad. During the escape, the scientist is injured and cared for by the "medic" who has never had a long-term relationship and does not care to. Along for the ride is the scientist's three month old baby girl whose presence not to mention an extremely foul-smelling diaper causes a few obstacles for the "band of heroes". While on the run, scientist and medic fall in love but while their love last once she is safe and sound on American soil?

While I think it's safe to predict the outcome of this novel, I thought this book was a decent read with fairly likable albeit slightly clique. Personally, I much prefer Weaver's ebook, In Love and War (note: the ebook is housed on Harlequin's website), where the characters in that story are much more interesting with a back story that just begs for full novelization as opposed to a couple of short paragraphs. Weaver has a couple more novels coming out this year that follows other members of the Eagle Squadron. It just a shame she just can't revisit the ebook and make it longer. Sigh...
