Business/Personal Finance/Career Coaching Programs

Whether you are a business owner or a member of the general public, we offer a variety of programs to meet your specific needs. Our programs are currently focused on personal finance, small business, and career development.

Our Personal Finance Programs are delivered by designated accountants, experienced financial educators, and/or other industry recognized business professionals. Here are some of the popular topics covered in our Personal Finance programs:

  • Tax strategies,
  • Investing strategies,
  • Estate planning,
  • Retirement planning,
  • Budgeting and saving,
  • Credit and debt,
  • Mortgage,
  • Fraud prevention, and
  • Life and health insurance.

Our Business Programs include a series of Financial Literacy Sessions for Small Business and the monthly Small Business Networking Events.

Our Financial Literacy Sessions for Small Business cover topics such as:

  • Financial survival for entrepreneurs,
  • Understanding financial statements,
  • Understanding financial ratios,
  • Managing growth and expansion,
  • Working capital management,
  • Financial management,
  • And more...

Our Small Business Networking Events include both a learning component and networking opportunities. The learning component features short presentations and discussions led by industry speakers and/or facilitated by the Business Service Specialist. These presentations cover different aspects of small business, including:

  • Business planning,
  • Tax strategies,
  • Import & export,
  • Marketing,
  • Financing,
  • Legal issues,
  • Business insurance,
  • Economic outlook, and
  • Government procurement.

Our Career Coaching Programs are designed to provide individuals with information, counselling, and assistance in their job hunting.

We offer one-on-one sessions on:

  • Career consultation,
  • Job searching,
  • resume and cover letter improvement, and
  • Interview tips and mock interviews.

We also offer group-based sessions on the following topics based on the availability of suitable volunteer tutors and the number of requests received:

  • Resume dos and don'ts,
  • Job readiness skills,
  • Job hunting etiquette, and
  • Career exploration.

We have two FREE options for online courses:
