At the beginning of the novel, seventeen year old Chad Kennedy, known to most as Reef, is found throwing a stone off the top of an overpass onto the traffic below. That stone shatters the windshield of seventeen year old Leeza Morrison’s car and causes a huge collision. Leeza is unconscious for weeks and suffers many broken bones. If you love history-mysteries, then this book is for you! Minn (or Cinnamon-the main character) is sent to live with her less-than-welcoming grandmother on the East Coast where she finds herself right in the middle of a haunting mystery. As she learns more about one of the most tragic shipwrecks in Maritime history before the Titanic, her grandmother, and even herself, Minn unleases a powerful series of events that pretty much change everything. I have to say that this book has to be my most favourite book from a Canadian writer...I hope you'll like it too!

Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin

Where do we go after we die?

Everyone has a different belief when it comes to this topic. Some think we go to heaven, and some believe that we lay unturned in the Earth forever, not going anywhere. Elsewhere is one persons thoughts of what happens when we die. The main character, Liz doesn't look both ways before crossing the street and dies in a tragic traffic accident. She takes a cruise ship to 'Elsewhere' and learns that she's dead. In Elsewhere everyone has jobs and homes. Once you arrive you start to age backwards and once you become a baby you are sent back to Earth to be born again. This book is extremely interesting and thought-provoking with a hint of mystery. A definite must-read.

When even more people that were close to Sam, and Kirsten get murdered, Kirsten is wondering if she will be next if the Police can't find the Killer.

Cindy Ella by Robin Palmer

Cindy Ella is a hilarious novel. To Cindy it seems as though the entire city of LA has caught prom fever, well, everyone except her. Cindy Ella writes a letter to the editor of her school newspaper with her thoughts on prom and the editor chooses to publish it, turning everyone but her two best friends (India and Malcolm) against her.

This novel had me laughing out loud! It's a wonderful read, and in the end, Cindy Ella really does live happily ever after.

Inu-Yasha Feudal Fairy Tale, by Rumiko Takahashi

Find this book in the Library's catalogue

I really like this book because I like how big of an imagination it is. And that they write things that are fantasy like. Demons, mortals, and humans like all interact with each other. Also like how Inu-Yasha pretends not to like Kagome when he really does. and that they try to hide their feelings but in the end they pretty much find out.
