About the Partner
Built in 1891, Government House first served as the official residence of the Lieutenant Governor of the Northwest Territories. Restored to the period of Lieutenant Governor Amédée Forget, the museum gives you a glimpse of life at Government House at the turn of the 20th Century. Government House is a multi-purpose Heritage Facility that also serves a modern purpose - since 1984, it has been home to the Lieutenant Governor’s working office. Today, Government House welcomes numerous events and award ceremonies as well as thousands of visitors each year.
