Newcomer Employment Week Networking Event

This is a free, come-and-go, informal networking event for newcomers with a background in accounting/finance, IT, or engineering who plan to re-enter their professional career in Canada.

Additional Information

May 6-10 is Newcomer Employment Week in Regina.  Regina Public Library, along with 9 other community organizations, will be jointly hosting the events and activities at multiple locations to support newcomer employment.

This networking event  will help to:

  • increase awareness of newcomer employment opportunities and challenges
  • connect professional associations and employers with newcomer talents
  • help newcomers tackle barriers to re-entering the job market in their field of expertise.

Staff members from the Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) and Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) Saskatchewan will be available to answer questions regarding education, training and licensing requirements and the process required to obtain your professional designations in Canada. There will be employers attending the event as well.

This event is FREE for everyone to attend. No registration required.
