Drop in and play for a bit or sit back and watch this deeply complex dungeon crawler!
Adventurer are you ready to descend into the dungeon to find the Amulet of Yendor? Will you be the one to vanquish the Wizard of Yendor and ascend to the heavens?
The 1987 roguelike text-based game NetHack offers players a unique take on the role-playing genre especially in 2019. Using the rules of Advanced Dungeons and Dragons, NetHack sets you loose in a randomly generated dungeon in search of a pointless and cleche McGuffin, The Amulet of Yendor. With a control scheme to rival Mavis Beacon and a turn-based world, NetHack gives you little in your quest to descend past the goblin armies, lichens, and angry shopkeeps that fill the depths. You’ll die, a lot. With every run comes a bit more knowledge about the dungeon and the interface. With revelations such as “Wait I can open the chest?!” and “Why can’t I go down the tunnel if my cat is in the way?” NetHack is truly a unique gaming experience. With it currently available on PC, iOS, and Android (for free) there is only one question left to ask:
You see here a dwarven corpse. Eat it? [y/n]
Each monthly session will feature a different game experience such as a tournaments, communal gaming, demonstrations of unique gaming platforms, and much more!
