Henna is a natural plant-based ink which allows the user to make beautiful temporary designs on the body. In many cultures, women have henna decorations applied to their hands and feet for festivals and celebrations. Sometimes before a wedding, a bride will have elaborate henna designs drawn onto her hands, arms and sometimes feet. In some regions of India, the groom will be decorated as well.
This workshop includes an introductory history of henna, henna paste preparation, basic flow & simple pattern practice on paper and an overview of techniques and practical henna application.
