Licensed family child care homes provide child care services in a personal home. The aim of the Family Child Care Home program is to have young children cared for by caring people in a safe environment that meets their developmental needs which supports and respects their families. If you are interested in caring for children, working for yourself, earning money in your own home; then operating a licensed family child care home may be the right choice for you.

Presenter Bio: Marlene Levitt is currently a Program Manager with Child Care Operations in the Early Years Branch. Ministry of Education in Regina. She previously worked as a Child Care Licensing Supervisor/Prevention & Early Intervention Program Specialist with Alberta Children’s Services. She has over 36 years of experience working with early learning and child care programs.
