Rob Vanstone's West Riders Best Lecture

Rob Vanstone's West Riders Best Lecture

On November 26th, 1966, the Saskatchewan Roughrider`s beat their Ottawa rivals 29-14 to win their first Grey Cup. Leader-Post sports writer Rob Vanstone conducted 150 interviews and spent over 1,000 hours (some at RPL`s Prairie History Room) researching the story of this historic game. West Riders Best tells the stories of the people on that championship team, but also describes life in Regina in those more innocent times.

Rob will talk about his book and answer any questions you may have at an upcoming talk he will be giving on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at the RPL Film Theatre, Central Library from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Copies or the book will be available for purchase.

Pre-registration is not required.

Can't make the presentation to purchase a copy? Not to worry. The library has ordered several copies for you to borrow. Click on the link to place a hold on Rob's book.
