Interested in tutoring adult learners in English? Our online training program developed by Regina Public Library with the help of the Saskatchewan Literacy Network and Cumberland Regional College can get you on your way - no teaching experience required!
The course will provide you with basic teaching strategies to help adult learners develop reading, writing, listening and speaking skills - all with a learner-centered approach. There are eight sessions including such topics as:
The latest version of Adobe Flash is required to make the best use of the online tool. Without it, you may not be able to view the videos, see the graphics or listen to the audio.

Under Available Courses click on the ESL Online Tutor Training Tool link.
If you have a login, you can log-in from here. But if this is your first time you will need to create an account. Click on the Create new account button under Is this your first time here? and follow the instructions.
Once you have created your account you must go to your email account to look for your confirmation message. The message will be from “Admin User” and will have a subject line of “account confirmation”. Click the web link provided in this message to activate your account.
The message you will see when you have clicked the link is: You are about to enroll yourself as a member of this course. Are you sure you wish to do this? Click on Yes. You will be directed to the course page.*Now that you have set up your account, the next time you enter the course you will be able to login with your username and password, on the left hand side of the login page.
You will receive a second email confirming your enrolment and asking you to update your profile. It is your choice to add additional information. It is not mandatory to add any of the additional information requested.
Once you have logged in, please read the News Forum - *Please read before starting the course*. This will help you use the tool effectively.
