Macramé Wall Hanging for Beginners (Connaught Branch)

Description

Join Danica Bencze to learn the art of braiding, twisting, and knotting yarn into a beautiful macrame wall hanging. All materials will be provided. Teens are welcome to join!

This is an in-person program. Please do not attend if you are feeling unwell.

Dates: Please register for only one session. The program is offered twice at different branches. 

May 4, 1:30 PM–4:00 PM, Connaught Branch Registration opens on April 4, 2024, 12:00 PM.
May 11, 1:30 PM–4:00 PM, Sherwood Village Branch Registration opens on April 11, 2024, 12:00 PM.

This program is beginner-friendly, but prior experience with macramé will be helpful in completing your project. If you have no prior experience making macramé, you can access training videos on Creativebug, available for free with your library card! Presenter Information: Danica Bencze has called Regina home for the past 25 years and is one of the artists behind Stumpz & Stringz. What started out as a hobby and a source of relaxation, combined with a passion for plants, has transformed into a small business. Together with her husband, they enjoy the outdoors while camping and hiking as much as possible. Inspired by the beauty of nature, she enjoys creating unique pieces of art and plant hangers with her macramé and the upcycled materials around her.
