We’re committed to providing free access to public computers and wireless Internet to those who don’t have regular access to technology at home.
Cyber Safety and Digital Awareness
Cyber safety is the responsible use of internet and social media sites, in order to minimize security and personal safety risks. Whether you are using a computer or mobile device at the library or at home, this resource guide will help you protect your personal information, and your personal safety, while navigating the internet. Whether you’re writing a resume, learning a language or researching your family history, we’re here to help. Use one of our desktop computer workstations (available at all RPL locations),borrow an RPL laptop for in-branch use at our Albert, George Bothwell, Glen Elm and Sherwood Village branches, or simply access our free WiFi on your own device.
Computer Workstations
Computer workstations with Internet access are available at all of our locations. These workstations:
- Are free-of-charge
- Can be used for up to two (2) hours per person per day
- Require a valid Regina Public Library card (or valid identification for non-residents)
- Require an agreement to follow the Library's Internet Access Policy
Some workstations may be reserved for specific dates and times.
Did you know? You can also use the username associated with your library card to log in to our computers! Don't have a username? Just log-in to your account and click on My Settings to set one up!
Children's Computers with Magic Desktop
The following branches have children's computers installed with Magic Desktop that is specially designed to provide safe, friendly, educational and fun experiences for children between 2-12 years old:
- Albert branch
- Central Library (lower level/basement)
- Glen Elm branch
- George Bothwell branch
- Regent Place branch
- Sherwood Village branch
- Sunrise branch
Large touchscreens with child-friendly keyboards and mouse round out the experience to ensure an age-appropriate digital interaction with thousands of engaging activities, games and videos that are both fun and educational. Children won't even realize they are learning!
Laptops
(in-house use only, cannot be reserved)
Laptops with Internet access are available at our Albert, George Bothwell, Glen Elm and Sherwood Village branches.
These laptops:
- Are free-of-charge
- Can be used for up to four hours per person per day
- Must remain in-branch at all times
- Are not bookable and are dispensed on a first come, first served basis
- Require a valid Regina Public Library card
- Require an agreement to follow the Library's Internet Access Policy

Wireless Internet (Wi-Fi)
Wireless Access is available at all Regina Public Library locations! No Library card or access code is needed. Just bring in your wireless Internet device (Wi-Fi enabled laptop or PDA) to any RPL location and connect for free and unlimited access.
Printing is also available from any RPL workstation or laptop.
