Hoopla brings you thousands of movies, television shows, music, eAudiobooks, eBooks and comics for free, on demand.

If you love the content on hoopla, you may also want to try our other digital services, like cloudLibrary and Overdrive. There’s also a lot to explore in our physical collection of books, movies, television and music.

Hoopla requires you to create an account with them once you’ve logged in with your library card. This allows them to communicate directly with you about hoopla services and allows you to ask them for assistance.

Regina Public Library customers may check out up to 6 titles in one calendar month.

  • Movies and TV shows: 3 Days loan
  • Music: 7 Days loan
  • eAudiobooks: 21 Days loan
  • eBooks and Comics: 21 Days loan

No holds are required. All titles are immediately available.

Hoopla users are unable to renew titles but can re-check them out again once the title has been automatically returned.

  • Use hoopla’s heart button to create a list of Favourites to come back to, instead of using the Borrow button to keep something in your queue for later.
  • Save hoopla for the times you need instant, on-demand access to materials — like when you want a video to keep the kids occupied on a long car trip, or an eAudiobook for your plane ride.
  • Consider using our other digital services, or our physical collection, when you’re not on a deadline. A lot of the content on hoopla can be found elsewhere at the library, and you might not have to wait to get access!

Everything Else You Need to Know

Ratings Restrictions

In accordance with Saskatchewan law, some movies and TV shows are restricted by age.

App and Device Support

Hoopla supports a large number of devices but RPL customers are responsible for ensuring that their particular computer, tablet, smartphone or eReader is compatible with hoopla and should consult the vendor’s documentation. Device and app support from library staff is limited due to a large number of possible devices available.

Note: Customers using Hoopla on a computer should be aware that Hoopla will not work in Internet Explorer. If you are running Windows 10, you may use Edge but users of older versions of Windows or other operating systems that might run Internet Explorer should use another browser to access Hoopla.

Need More Help?

Full support for all these features is available from the hoopla Help Centre

If you need to renew your library card or reset your PIN, please contact our staff.
