New to Canada? You're in the right place. We have lots of resources and services to help you get settled in your new city and home.
Regina Public Library has many programs, and services for you and your family including:
- Programs for children that are fun, help them learn to read, learn math, make things and will connect them together with other children.
- Programs for adults to practice English face to face with a volunteer tutor. Day, evening and weekend times available. Meet at any library location. Choose the English skills you want to work on or work on all four - listening speaking, reading, and writing. Choose what you want to learn, for example - day to day life in Canada, finding a job, current events, how to talk with coworkers, neighbours etc.
- Books in English and many other languages, online Mango language learning and free access to newspapers from around the world.
There are library tours that are designed to introduce you to library materials, programs and services so that you can better integrate into Canadian society. The 60-minute tours will introduce you to library resources, programs, and services that can help you improve your language skills and settle comfortably into your new home.
To book a tour or register for Literacy programming contact the Literacy Office to make an appointment. Or come into to any Regina Public Library branch and find what the library can do for you!
