Pysanky: Ukrainian Easter Eggs

Description

Learn how to create Pysanky, Ukrainian-style, multi-coloured Easter eggs. These are one of the oldest art forms in Eastern Europe. Discover their history as you create your own. Supplies provided.

Additional Information

This program is available at both George Bothwell and Connaught libraries, we kindly ask that you register for only one session.

Please plan to attend both nights (March 6 and 13) to complete your eggs. Bring a container to carry your egg home at the end. Teens, age 13 and older, are welcome to attend this program.

Instructor: Marie grew up making Pysanky at her Ukrainian language school and with her mother and baba (grandmother). She is delighted to be able to share this age old Easter tradition with the Regina community.
