The global IT industry is undergoing a profound transformation. Traditional roles are being restructured, automated, or replaced as organizations across every sector adopt cloud-native architectures, strengthen cybersecurity, expand data ecosystems, and integrate AI into daily workflows. This includes the rapid emergence of AI coding tools (such as GitHub Copilot and code-generation assistants) and agentic AI systems that automate operational tasks - accelerating the shift away from legacy job functions worldwide.

This series is designed for new computer science graduates and displaced IT professionals navigating these global market changes and layoffs. Together, we’ll explore the “new core” IT skill sets now in demand across enterprise IT teams globally - and here in Saskatchewan, including:

  • Cloud Computing
  • Cybersecurity & IAM
  • Microsoft 365 Administration & Enterprise Productivity
  • Data Analytics & BI
  • AI-assisted development, AI coding tools, and emerging agentic AI workflows

Each session offers a clear, practical roadmap to these essential career streams and demonstrates how to use your Library’s free LinkedIn Learning access as a structured, beginner-friendly pathway for reskilling, upskilling, and preparing for industry-recognized certifications.

Build the clarity, confidence, and technical foundation needed to rebuild your IT career and pursue stable, in-demand roles with major local employers in today’s rapidly evolving tech landscape - one increasingly shaped by cloud, security, data, and AI.
