Kind to Grade 2. In Indigenous cultures, oral storytelling is a traditional method of sharing knowledge from generation to generation. Experience some Indigenous stories together with Randy Morin.

This program is being presented by Regina Public Library, in partnership with Regina Public Schools and Regina Catholic Schools to celebrate Saskatchewan Aboriginal Storytelling Month.

Randy Morin is a nêhiyaw nâpêw and oskâpêwis from the Big River First Nation, located on Treaty 6 territory in central Saskatchewan.  He is a proud father of three and loves to spend time with them. Randy’s western education consists of a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Indigenous Studies from University of Regina, a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Saskatchewan, and a master’s degree from the University of Victoria in Indigenous Language Revitalization.  His Cree education systems consists of practicing and living a lifetime of traditional Plains Cree teachings and traditions.  Randy shares this knowledge and teachings at the University of Saskatchewan where he currently works as an Assistant Professor with the Department of Indigenous Studies at the College of Arts and Science.  Randy is also an author of a Cree survival phrase book and four Cree Children’s books with more books to be published in the future. Randy continues to work in many capacities with many different communities and organizations throughout Canada working in the field of language revitalization and reclamation.
