Travel through taste to India, by following Jay Parikh, cultural sharing enthusiast, through a cooking demo to learn how to cook a traditional Indian meal.Additional Information
Want to cook along with Jay? Please have the following ingredients ready:
- Cooking oil
- 1 medium onion (blended to paste)
- 1 tbsp ginger/ 1 tbsp garlic
- 1 can crushed tomatoes
- 2 cans chickpeas (rinsed/drained)
- basmati rice (soaked 30 mins)
- 1.5 cup Plain sour yogurt whisked
- 1 cucumber diced
- 1 medium red onion diced
- 2 tomatoes (deseeded and diced)
- 1 green chilli (deseeded and diced)
- 2 limes (juiced)
- Spices: Whole cumin, whole cumin roasted, ground cumin, coriander powder, turmeric, Indian red chilli powder (cayenne pepper as alternative), garam masala blend, salt, lemon, coriander leaves, and coriander
