NIPD Kids Zone

Description

Celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day. Children are invited to experience and learn about Indigenous culture, traditions, music and dance by participating in 8 different Kids Zone activities.

Additional Information

National Indigenous Peoples Day is an opportunity for our entire community to learn more about the unique heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding achievements of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples in Canada. Everyone is welcome!

The following 8 activities will be available in the Kids Zone for children to experience and learn about Indigenous culture, traditions, music and dance:

• First Nation's Cultural Teachings
• Cree Syllabics
• Beaded Keychains
• Métis Jigging
• Red River Cart
• Inuit Games
• NIPD Button Maker Station
• NIPD Colouring Station

Face painting will also be available. Program details, including a full schedule of entertainment on the NIPD stage, family-friendly activities, and Indigenous artisans, are available on: Facebook event page
