The Tale of a Town

The Tale of a Town is a national community initiative that travels the country gathering and sharing main street stories.

Additional Information

This July, The Tale of a Town will be visiting downtown Regina, parking their traveling recording studio in front of RPL Central to engage with community members and gather stories about what makes this city unique.

At the end of their stay, artists from FIXT POINT’s Resident Company and local professional artists will create a performance installation, merging interview soundbites, local archives, live music, and theatre performance to create a site-specific, immersive experience based on their findings.

This national oral history and theatre initiative will culminate in a multi-platform celebration of the country’s main street culture, in commemoration of Canada’s 150th anniversary in 2017.
