Still from The Blood Records, written and annotated

The Blood Records, written and annotated is an experimental narrative that focuses on the interior life of Marie, a young girl coming of age while confined to a tuberculosis sanatorium in Fort Qu' Appelle, Saskatchewan in the summer of 1944. As the rebellious girl's recovery is threatened by a relapse, the story traces her descent deep into her own interior life, an unpredictable and rich stew of embroidered recollection, elaborate hallucination and outrageous opinion - all fired by adolescent angst and a sincere desire to gain life experience as soon as possible. Lisa Steele and Kim Tomczak are founding members of V Tape, a national information and distribution service for independent video. Screenings start each hour on the hour
