This exhibition was part of the cultural exchange developed between Saskatchewan, Canada and Jilin, China which have been twinned since 1984. Both are primarily agricultural regions. Since the Revolution of 1948, the Chinese Central Government has encouraged farmers to express themselves in painting, as a form of "people's art."
