Michelle Gay: have less be more
Gay, Michelle (2005)
Michelle Gay's interactive digital art works utilize custom built computers and innovative computer programs while also incorporating drawings originally produced by the artist in various conventional media. She collaborates with her brother, Colin Gay in the development of the hardware and software used in her work. Of particular interest are pressure sensitive input devices developed for the Canadian Space Agency. Developing such experiential digital technologies, Gay and her brother have explored the possibilities of touch and poetics, possibilities made manifest in works that are playful and thought provoking. This catalogue documents the exhibition of Gay's work at the Sherwood Village Branch Gallery from November 15, 2005 to January 11, 2006.
