Resisting Arrest: Seeking Sustainability

This catalogue documents the exhibition presented at the Sherwood Village Branch Gallery from July 8 to September 4, 2005. Resisting Arrest: Seeking Sustainability gathered together artists who engage issues of sustainability across with several fields of thought, from the livestock industry and animal husbandry to urban planning and non-renewable resource management. The exhibition presented works by six Saskatchewan-based artists: Lee Henderson, Rory MacDonald, Kim Morgan, and Robin Poitras, from Regina, and First Nations collaborators Lynn Acoose and Elwood Jimmy, from Yorkton. The exhibition also featured a performance/installation work by visiting artist John Dummett, from London, England. This brochure is accompanied by ten artist postcards by Roy Antal, Everett Baker, Jerry Didur, Hans Dommasch, David Geary, Brent Hume, Ann Newdigate, Theo Sims, Lori and Bernard Weidenhammer.
