Urban, Collette (2002)

This brochure documents the collaborative community project developed by artist Colette Urban as the primary focus of her residency at the Sherwood Village Branch Gallery [May 6 to 26, 2001]. Community members were invited to construct a sculptural object from materials Urban compiled. Two hundred assembled packages consisted of assorted odd and challenging recycled materials and craft supplies, and a word or short phrase from writer Vincent Murphy's text that was the basis or incentive for the visual contributions. The project culminated in a display of the contributions at Sherwood Village Branch Gallery in November 2001.
