Beug, Lorne (1990)
This exhibition, significant as Beug's first installation, was built upon years of work and expanded the meaning and impact of his art. Lorne Beug has always freely indulged in the investigation of several subjects of personal interest. Beug's installation, his most ambitious to date, related to history, nature, and transformation. This somewhat idiosyncratic approach reflects Beug's background - his childhood fascination with geology and archaeology and later, studies in the fields of psychology and anthropology.
