Four local experts will discuss the challenges and opportunities they face in creating safe and welcoming spaces downtown. They’ll share what they’ve learned and brainstorm new ideas to make downtown a welcoming space for everyone during an event at Central Library.
Each speaker represents an organization that is working towards community wellbeing and a healthy downtown. Panelists include Dave Slater, Manager of Community Wellbeing at the City of Regina; Sgt. Laurie Alexander, Alternative Response Coordinator for the Regina Police Service; Katie Dockham, General Manager of the Cornwall Centre; and Jason Knudsen, Outreach Program Manager of the Regina Street Team. They’ll talk about the strategies they’ve implemented and share ideas about how to make downtown Regina a safe and welcoming destination.
