The story of a Plains Cree man who takes his son on a special journey down his old fur trade route. During the journey the man reminisces about his fur trade days and the fur trade era, teaching his son a great deal about that era. He shares with his son the ways in which the fur trade affected their family and community, and how it led to the signing of treaties, and to prairie development and settlement
