When attorney Jack Swyteck's girlfriend is kidnapped by a ruthless murderer who has evaded the FBI he finds out that she is married and that her husband refuses to pay the ransom. Swyteck resists getting involved at first but when he does he learns of his girlfriend's strange marriage and her mysterious past.
