Twelve-year-old Daniel Cook and his sister Beatrice are spared another boring summer with their stuffy uncle when they are sent to a school run by their parents' former mentor, Dr. Drake, who introduces them to the study of dragonology--just in time for them to help foil the plans of the evil dragonologist Ignatius Crook.
