Goku races to save his son, Gohan, from Garlic Jr., who is intent on acquiring the dragonballs; Dr. Wheelo sets a trap to attract the strongest warriors in order to find a body in which to place his brain, and Goku finds himself competing against his friends; the Tree of Might has been planted on Earth, and Goku and the Z-fighters try to destroy it before it kills everything on the planet; the Z-fighters must stop Lord Slug from completing his quest of finding the dragon balls; to avenge his brother's death, Cooler challenges Goku to a battle that could destroy Earth.
