After her return to Canada, she leaves her religious order, finds the love of her life in Montreal, and adopts Lise Dion. Growing up, Lise is familiar with only a few facts about her mothers past, but many mysteries of Armandes early life are unlocked after her death. Winner of the 2014 White Pine Non-Fiction Award. 2013.
