Is someone systematically killing all the judges in B.C., or is this just coincidence at work? Reluctantly, the retired Arthur Beauchamp, legend of the B.C. bar, has to leave his beloved goat farm on Garibaldi Island to take on the case of a man accused of killing one of the judges.
