This Kindergarten kit provides a teacher’s book with structured lesson plans and reproducibles, as well as 15 picture books that support early literacy development. The curriculum is designed to integrate listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, using Indigenous cultural themes, legends, and familiar northern settings to engage young learners.

Notes:
- A separate Grade One CIRCLE Program Kit is available, which includes additional workbooks, picture books, and reproducible activities for continuing literacy instruction beyond Kindergarten.
- The CIRCLE Program (Curriculum in Indigenous Language and Culture Education) was established in 1981 in response to the need expressed by many educators for Language Arts materials designed for northern Indigenous children. The program incorporates an English as a Second Language (ESL) approach while providing culturally and environmentally relevant content. It was developed at the Modern Language Centre of the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education with funding from the Ontario Regional Office of the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development.
