Greece the myth of Persephone
2005
DVD
Explore nature myths through the story of Persephone, daughter of Zeus and Demeter, who finds love with Hades, god of the underworld, when he abducts her and brings her to his home. However, her absence devastates Demeter, and the human world feels the effects of her pain. Zeus negotiates Persephone's return, but she must return to the underworld to see Hades for four months of the year. Demeter rejoices at Persephone's return, but is sad each time she leaves, thereby causing winter.
