So far as Chade Stocker was concerned when Capital City hired his gun, it was just another heat-blasted town down on its luck and in need of a little Colt .45 peacemaking. He showed no mercy for any of the outlaw gangs, or the wild women, or the desperadoes they sent to kill him. It was only when young Jesse McKidd rode in to face Stocker down that the county would know which man was indeed the chosen gun.
