Meg returns to her home in West Quebec after her recent trip to the Arctic. She learns that the daughter of a friend has been missing from the Migiskan Reserve for over two months. As the mother struggles with her guilt over her daughter's disappearance, Meg vows to do what she can to find the missing girl and in the process discovers that Fleur isn't the only native woman who has gone missing.
