Robert Cope Harland ended his career as a British spy in an Austrian hospital, after being tortured and beaten during the Velvet Revolution in Prague. He found a new life working with the Red Cross and then the UN. Then, 12 years later, he is the only survivor of a plane crash, which may be sabotage and may be related to his past.
