Lori Deets
Lori Deets is a community advocate and communications professional based in Regina, Saskatchewan (Treaty 4). She is Cree/Métis from Northern Saskatchewan and a graduate of the Indigenous Journalism and Communications program at First Nations University of Canada.
She brings over ten years of experience in community development, public engagement, and advocacy, with a focus on equity, access, and inclusive decision-making. Her professional background includes leadership and advisory roles within community organizations, as well as media and storytelling work centered on Indigenous perspectives and local issues.
Lori values libraries as vital public institutions that support literacy, knowledge-sharing, and accessible community spaces.
