Music on the Mezzanine

Description

Join us on the mezzanine for an exciting new series of concerts at the Central Branch.

Additional Information

This event takes place on the mezzanine located on the 2nd floor of Central library. Drop-in, no registration required. Everyone is welcome.

In September, Bongo Bob, a well-established musician from Regina, Saskatchewan, will perform live. Passionate about supporting local musicians as much as creating his own music, Bongo Bob has been a staple in the musical scene, providing hypnotic bongo backbeats for gypsy dance troupes, touring with Keiffer McLean and the Curiosity Club, and even performing with blues legend Long John Baldry at the historic Plains Hotel.

Influenced by traditional blues, folk, and a touch of gospel, Bongo Bob's style ranges from intimate solo performances reminiscent of Hill Country Blues to full-band shows that echo the energy of a Muscle Shoals studio session. His deep, soothing voice, relatable contemporary tales, and talent for writing simple, emotional songs create a raw and honest connection that will touch your heart and soul.

Don't miss this chance to support a local talent in an intimate, up-close, and personal setting you won't soon forget.
