This is an in-person program. All ages are welcome.  

Celebrate and promote the art of spoken word with a morning of engaging performances by talented artists, followed by insightful sample adjudications by Lorna Batycki.

Explore the Regina Music Festival syllabus, learn how to be part of spoken word competitions at the 2025 Festival, and discover the resources available at RPL.

This is a perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in cultural engagement and network with like-minded individuals.

About Lorna Batycki: Lorna is proud to live and create on Treaty 6, where for the past 25 years she has worked in theatre, media and arts education. Currently she is the Director of Education at Persephone Theatre, where she develops programs to build confidence and theatre skills for students from preschool age to adult. Previously she worked as a broadcast journalist for 15 years, and has extensive experience in public speaking and as a producer in children’s television. Recent theatre credits include Director/Stage Manager for the world premiere of 16 The Musical with Live Fully Productions, Director of the Full Monty for Saskatoon Summer Players, Director of SpongeBob The Musical: Youth Edition for the Persephone Theatre Musical Academy. 

This event is presented in partnership with the Regina Music Festival Association.
