Know Your Access to Information Rights

Description

Learn about your rights and how to exercise them to access information held by public bodies. Presented by the Office of the Saskatchewan Information and Privacy Commissioner (OIPC).

Additional Information

This is an in-person program that requires registration. Drop-ins are also welcome.

Access to information laws in Saskatchewan enhance transparency and foster increased informed citizen engagement. However, for citizens to exercise their rights to access information, though, they must first understand their rights under the law.

Join the Office of the Saskatchewan Information and Privacy Commissioner (OIPC) to celebrate the launch of Right to Know Week 2025 (September 22-28, 2025). A short presentation will endeavor to educate attendees what rights they have to access information held by public bodies and trustees in the province, how to exercise those rights, and how the OIPC serves citizens who are dissatisfied with the outcomes of their access requests.
