This event will take place Online on Zoom. A link will be emailed to participants prior to the event.
Leah will celebrate the Métis infinity symbol in her artwork and help students make connections to Métis values from the book "The Giving Tree." She will lead directed drawing activities and encourage students to make their own Métis infinity symbol and values interpretive artwork. Great for school groups, geared towards ages 12 and up. All welcome.
Recommended Materials: pencils, erasers, paper, and colouring supplies (optional)
Leah Marie Dorion is an artist, teacher, filmmaker and writer from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Dorion holds a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Saskatchewan and a Master of Arts from Athabasca University. Dorion is also a published author of books about Métis history, cultural teachings and storytelling.
