Learn how to analyze a balance sheet, understand the impact of accrual vs. cash accounting, and grasp concepts like depreciation, intangible assets, and retained earnings. This workshop will empower you to ask smarter, more informed questions of your accountant, bookkeeper, or financial advisor and truly understand the story the numbers are telling.

About the speaker
Rebecca Malo is a Chartered Professional Accountant with deep experience in public sector and nonprofit financial management. She currently works as a Senior Financial Analyst with the Canadian Public Safety Operations Organization, supporting multiple departments with audits, policy development, and financial recording.
In addition to her professional work, Rebecca is deeply engaged in community leadership. She is Board Chair of the Warman Housing Authority, Treasurer of the Saskatoon Sexual Assault Information Centre, and an active volunteer with organizations including the Saskatoon Open Door Society.
As part of CPA Canada’s Financial Literacy Program, Rebecca will present two sessions at the Regina Public Library: one on Estate Planning and another on Advanced Financial Statements. Her goal is to show that numbers aren’t scary when you take the emotion out of them.
