Have fun in this interactive cultural cooking experience introducing you to Dolma, one of Azerbaijan’s most beloved traditional dishes.

This program is repeated twice. Please register for one session only.  Registration for this date opens at 12:00pm on March 22.

Dates: The repeat of this program happens on April 11 at the Prince of Wales Branch.

About the Dolma Cooking Class

Azerbaijani tradition of making and sharing dolma is inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, recognizing its role in cultural identity, hospitality, and community life.

The session will include a cultural presentation on the history and significance of dolma in Azerbaijani cuisine, tasting and a live cooking demonstration explaining ingredients and techniques, along with hands-on preparation, where participants can take part in assembling dolma.

Organization Description: 
The Azerbaijani Cultural Association of Regina (AzCAR) is a non-profit, volunteer-led organization dedicated to promoting Azerbaijani culture, traditions, and heritage in Saskatchewan. Through cultural events, workshops, storytelling, music, dance, and food-based experiences, AzCAR fosters cross-cultural understanding and community connection. They regularly collaborate with local libraries, schools, and cultural organizations to offer inclusive, educational, and family-friendly programming.
